The first SCCA Majors race weekend of the season for Wynnfurst Racing is in the books! Wynnfurst Racing participated in the Mark Amenda Memorial Majors at Blackhawk Farms Raceway. The event was a double race weekend with qualifying and a race on Saturday and another on Sunday. Jason competed in the Prototype 1 class with his #3 Kohler Powered Wynnfurst entry.
In Saturday qualifying, Jason set a P1 lap record at Blackhawk Farms Raceway and qualified on the pole. Jason ran a strong race, including a spin on course from the lead. He held onto the lead despite the spin and finished first in the P1 class!!!
For Sunday's race, Jason qualified second overall and first in the P1 class, starting the race from the outside of the front row. He quickly jumped to the lead and battled hard the whole race with two different Formula Atlantic's. A tight close battle up front made for great racing. Jason brought home his second P1 class win of the weekend.
