The 2022 WeatherTech Chicago Region SCCA June Sprints are in the books. It was a trying weekend for the Wynnfurst Team and our #0 Kohler Powered entry in the P1 class for Jason Miller. We spent most of the day Friday chasing a cooling issue with the engine and had it fixed going into the qualifying 2 session on Saturday morning. Jason ran a great race Saturday afternoon. The Kohler Engine, Hoosier Tires performed great and the car's handling was good, Jason was able to bring home a 4th place finish. As typical in SCCA events, the cars were impounded after the race and post impound, on the slow ride back to the paddock, an electrical issue developed and the car would not shift. Our crew did a great job identifying the issue in the electronic paddle shifting system and made the needed repairs. Jason started the race on Sunday and made a pace lap and one lap of the race before the issue reappeared and caused issues in the shifting. With the lack of shifting, Jason was relegated to an 8th place (in class) finish in Sunday's race. The team has a few weeks before we are back on track with the P1 car for the CAT Majors. A week removed from the June Sprints and the team is already well into repairs on the electronic paddle shifting system and hope to be back stronger for the SCCA CAT Majors. A huge shout out and THANK YOU to our crew for all the hard work during the June Sprints!
